Salawaku – Compassion 

After the design concept of “Salawaku Active Protection trough Compassion” was selected to be part of the Proposals for Municipal Art Acquisitions 2022 – Stedelijk Museum, I felt I had to make a serie of 3 paintings to explore the force fields of the Salawaku, before I could make the real one out of wood.

This first one of three, represents the front of the Salawaku, shining it’s light on the world. It calls for compassion towards fellow human beings and the nature of which we are a part.
